BBC Radio 1Xtra at London College of Fashion

Last Friday evening, LCF hosted a special BBC Radio 1Xtra London Fashion Week event, presented by DJ and stylist Gemma Cairney to mark the first day of London Fashion Week.
The live discussion, featuring a host of fashion industry experts including:  Jessica Bumpus (Fashion Features Editor,Vogue.com), Susie bubble (Fashion Blogger), Grace Woodward (Stylist and judge on Britain and Ireland’s next top model), Bip Ling (Fashion Blogger and DJ), Gary Edgley (Selfridges Buyer), Jason Boateng (Designer and Stylist) Soki Mak (Stylist), Elisabeth McCoubrie (Fashion Blogger), Shai Spooner (Designer and Stylist) and Carri Munden (Designer, Cassette Playa).
Just some of the topics covered in the discussion were ‘ What makes a fashion icon?’, ‘How influential are bloggers in the fashion industry?’, and ‘why vintage is so successful’.
The event was exclusively for LCF students who also got the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the inspiring panel, as well as mingle with them all after the discussion for further information and advice.
